Throughout the year, Young Playwrights' Theater (YPT) stages several performances and events showcasing the writing of young writers from all over the DC, Maryland and Virginia area as well as local and regional artists. With professional actors, directors and production crew, YPT elevates the youth voices and brings their stories to life.

Peek Into Process: The Curse of the Burnes'

The playwright-performers of Young Playwrights’ Workshop offer you a glimpse into their artistic process! In an interactive, staged reading, you’ll see how they devised their time-travel mystery play, The Curse of the Burnes’, using improvisation, actor and writing techniques. Get a chance to create with them by choosing what happens next from select scenes and offering feedback to the playwrights!

This performance is free and open to the public, and donations will be welcome and accepted throughout the evening.
