YPT is proud to introduce our resident acting company. These actors bring students’ work to life through continual rehearsals, readings, workshops and performances both in the classroom and professional productions.
Ryan Christie
Ryan Christie – Ryan Christie has appeared locally in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie at The Studio Theatre, Middle Finger with ASIA Theatre, The Little Match Girl with Tsunami Theatre and Wonderland Alice (u/s) at The Studio Theatre Second Stage. She trains at The Studio Theatre Acting Conservatory.


Suzanne Edgar

Suzanne Edgar is thrilled to be performing with YPT. She made her Off-Broadway debut in The Bridge Street Jumpers. She recently appeared in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest with Firebelly Productions and on Court TV as a murder victim on Psychic Detectives.
Wendy Nogales
Wendy Nogales loves YPT! She has worked with many local theatres including: GALA Hispanic Theatre, Venus Theatre, National Players, Olney Theatre Center, Discovery Theatre, Imagination Stage, Adventure Theatre and The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center. She is incredibly proud to be collaborating with such talented artists and playwrights.
Alex Perez
Alex is a local comedic actor who has done improv and sketch comedy for seven years in D.C. and theater for two years. A graduate of the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, Alex has appeared in such plays as The Waiting Room, Night of January 16th, and Royal Hunt of the Sun with Washington Shakespeare Company. He was also involved with HBO’s The Wire. When he has free time he plays with a local band called 67. Alex sends his love to all his friends and family who support him.
Fernando Romero
Fernando was born and raised in El Salvador. He emigrated to the US in 1991 to join his family in Washington, DC. As a student at Bell Muliticultural High School, Fernando participated in YPT’s In-School Playwriting Program. This connection led to a job at YPT and to his eventual choice to pursue a degree in Theater at Antioch College in Yellow Springs Ohio.
