The illustrious Prince George’s Community College (PGCC) has partnered with Young Playwrights’ Theater (YPT) to offer a course on playwriting to PGCC performing arts students! This is the first partnership of its kind in which students can explore dramatic writing at PGCC.
Join YPT and PGCC for a celebration of the students’ hard work: a staged reading of the students’ original plays. Featuring professional actors and directed by YPT Program Director Jared Shamberger, plays exploring coming of age and lessons of love, friendship and life will fill the new Black Box Theater at the Center for Performing Arts.

This fall, Tyrese's play was presented in a public reading in which audience members got to meet the playwright and offer feedback!
