The Young Playwrights’ Workshop
presents Out of the Shadow at Capital Fringe

The students of the Young Playwrights' Workshop are proud to present Out of the Shadow, their original play addressing the topic of bullying. The ensemble takes a stand for their peers across the country, presenting multiple perspectives and sharing important stories.

The Young Playwrights' Workshop is YPT's award-winning student theater ensemble. Students work together to create, develop, rehearse and perform an original play. A professional teaching artist helps the ensemble develop a foundation of theater skills that form the basis for creating new work. Students learn a diverse set of skills: improvisation, stage combat, clowning, solo performance and playwriting. The resulting performance is held at a professional theater in the DC area and attended by a public audience.
